OCIA

In the early Church, the entire community welcomed and evangelized newcomers. The responsibility to catechize (teach and form) was shared by all in the community. Vatican II restored this earlier model of initiation of adults and now relies on the Parish community to be sponsors, godparents, leaders, friends and to pray for those in the initiation process.

Do you know someone who is not Catholic but is interested in learning more about the Catholic faith? Do you have a friend or relative that has been attending mass for years but has never taken steps towards becoming a Catholic? Do you have gifts, talents and treasures that can be used to help support our initiation process? If so, please contact the Parish Office and find out ways that you can become involved as a participant, supporter or contributor.

Our program accepts participants year round and all are welcomed. We currently have catechumens and candidates ranging in age from their early twenties up to retirees. We would love to hear from you, so call soon.
